  1. What is it that the entire fan base sees on abgeyang that poch and pundits don’t? His goal today was the first time he’s looked like a professional soccer player this entire window.

Call in Sargent and offer a third spot on the roster in exchange for stepping up and bailing us out

  2. This isn’t even mediocre competition that’s why no one is excited about them winning Haiti is probably the poorest country in the world with no resources you should spank them you didn’t .

  3. Patrick A as "Good to Great" is a joke. Dude should not sniff this Team again. Love his story, but the level is not there.

  4. You guys are nuts if you think Agyemang belongs anywhere near the national team again. I’ll grant you he did well on the goal he scored today, but he absolutely blew so many other chances this game like he has done in all the games. The other goals he has scored have been Ron Weasley goals, the kind that bounce off the back of his head into the goal as he’s tripping over his own feet.

  5. Malik Tillman in the USMNT seems to exist. Not a great group but hopefully its the start of a good international career.

  6. Such a joke with some of this commentary. Any GK who blantantly gave up a goal in a game, save some scenario where they did something like stop a PK and/or several other threatening shots, has clearly had a poor / below average game. Who in their right mind thinks the "average" is that a GK hands a goal to the other team?

  7. Good podcast. Informative and interesting analysis. Please repeat after subsequent games.

  8. If we are giving white a red dot for bad touches, Ageymang can’t be good to great, regardless of a goal

  9. THIS is what we expected with Poch. I think he’s starting to understand what he’s working with and how to work with the members of this team. We’ll see how he does as the teams get better.

  10. Just took a look- US plays Costa Rica. Not an easy task. Good, because they are pissed about their loss to Mexico. Man up or Next up, USMNT! Go get it!!

  11. Agyemang man… this narrative needs to stop. And it will when he plays against a semi-decent team

  12. Agyemang being a prospect at the age of 24 25 in November is crazy he should be at his prime by now he’s not getting any better goals in camp cup cake one off a luna shot and one good one in this gold cup this is not a top striker his first touch is awful in hold up play he gets dispossessed easily his one on one with the goalkeeper was a horrible shot all in all why the hell is the media being weird about shoving agyemang down our throats

  13. The Agyemang agenda from the media has been so shocking. He was never a USMNT caliber striker

  14. This was a pretty crazy tier list, there’s so many guys you randomly put in poor to average who had pretty solid games.

  15. If Jonathan Klinsmann gets the transfer to Sassuolo and wins the starting job he will be our best goalkeeper option.

  16. This is not the time and the national team isnt the place to develop a stiker. Ageyman isn’t there. We need to play other players. He missed a one on one with the goalie due to pure lack of skill.

  17. Watching the game Sullivan and Aaronson we’re not good. Aaronson got the assist so I give him credit, but he lost the ball way too much, played slow, and passed the ball back way too often. Sullivan a final ball was awful tonight. Too many crosses that went way over everyone or just didn’t hit the mark, didn’t play progressive enough, and that Rabona at that time in the match should’ve gotten him yanked.

  18. Charlie Davies with the “Goldfish Memory” 😂 Agyeman was trash all game just cus he scored doesn’t make him good

  19. This Agyemang agenda needs to stop immediately. He isn’t even half the player of Haji Wright or Daryl Dike.

  20. Brenden Aaronson and Sullivan were probably the 2 best winger pairings in this round. Idk wat Charlie is talking about. De La Torre is just a really safe player, not dynamic, but doesn’t make critical mistakes. Jack McGlyn will probably never get his chance to play CM unless they move to a 4-1-4-1 formation and he plays CRM. 4-1-4-1 would be interesting with the main squad.

  21. Aug played terrible all game, spent half it on the ground… for his profile he is supposed to be the one putting other people on the ground

  22. Poch could careless about gold cup, this is a huge trials for these players, he’s aggressively searching for the right profiles for the identity he wants to create, the world cup starts next year and americans are talking about gold cup, the man is fully focused on the world cup

  23. You can give credit for the 8 goals scored vs 1 conceded to the fact the competition was a joke. Really? We’re supposed to believe all this hype about how much soccer has improved in the US when we get curb stomped by good competition in the friendlies, but we beat up on hapless T&T, and eek out wins against Saudi Arabia’s B team and Haiti? Really?

  24. Did Charlie seriously compare Patrick and Weghorst? Patrick barely scores vs Haiti and ghosts vs Saudi Arabia B team and you want to compare him to Weghorst who scored twice against the Argentinian world champs?!

  25. Actually, Pochettino seems to like De La Torre quite a bit. Rightly so! However, Luca hardly even gets an acknowledgment from most commentators. It truly makes me wonder why. They seem to wait until he makes a bad pass, then they say something. Yet, he doesn’t do that very often. Instead, he moves the ball quickly, creates opportunities, and is good at getting out of pressure. There is nothing wrong with playing back if you quickly notice that nothing is on and you do so quickly. Too many of our players hold the ball too long while trying to figure out what to do.

  26. Now we know why most of these talking heads aren’t coaching. They have an agenda to push their favorites and its obvious that no matter what a player does in a game they will rate on that agenda. There is no way to take this recap seriously. It’s obvious they didn’t take notes and just used emotion for their ratings

  27. Everything that Charlie said about White is what he should have said about Agyemang, aside from the goal.

  28. Good to great Agyemang? 😂😂😂😂😂 Dude scuffed how many chances? He has no touch. I don’t understand. He’s not at all at legit NT competition level. And Tillman etc aren’t growing into their roles, they look better because the competition is poor.

  29. I understand the allure of Agyeman, but he appears to not be involved as much as I would think. Can Charlie explain more why he thinks so highly of him? Thanks, guys! Loved the show.

  30. To get a green dot you need to have a DOMINANT game not just complete some passes. You need to make jaws drop. NOBODY did that.

  31. Tillman is a WC starter. Can’t wait to see his physicality and determination coupled with slashers like Pulisic and Weah. Speaking of physicality, name another striker who brings what Agyemang offers? Is he a starter? No. Could he be used in spots to absolutely wear down the opposing back line, absolutely. I’m an Aaronson fan, but he has lost the form of 2 years ago. He’s a capable player, but he’s not ahead of Pulisic, Weah, Tillman, Musah. I like Luna and Q Sullivan more than Aaronson right now.

  32. Malik Tillman is a massive positive, a few inches from a hat trick. Also WE NEED TO MOVE ON FROM AGYEMAN. The goal he scored was nice but it doesn’t matter because he misses so many chances and only scores against weak sides. Charlie David has an obsession with MLS Strikers. Agyeman literally missed a 1 on 1 with the keeper early in the game that would have had us seal the win then.

  33. Tolkin would benefit from a wider “normal” field, and more minutes to get in a rhythm. He’s easily more ball secure and his defensive recovery speed is excellent.

  34. This gave me a real good laugh, thanks. “Your graded on impact” agyeman- goal, gets good to great Aaronson, Tolkin- both get an assist, Poor to average
