This Sunday night, the Springboks and France played out maybe the best game of rugby I’ve ever seen in my life. A frantic, fast, tactical battle, how did South Africa manage to come out on top?

  1. South Africa wins a world cup and that’s when you disappear? Don’t ever claim to be impartial. Honestly expected a whole lot more.

  2. "So how did South Africa knock out France" then you go and analyse how France played for 18 mins.

  3. I just learned that it was WR who had the mission to make the images of the retransmissions of the matches:-))) not the French channels.
And you know what? They had announced that there would be fewer slowdowns and fewer video analyses to "not break the rhythm of the matches"๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
    They really think weโ€™re badgers.
This means that even in several months/ years we will never have the opportunity to prove factually the manipulation of arbitrations.
A scandal made possible because the national federations became powerless before WR.
All that remains is the boycott??!
And moreover Erasmus, has played a large part in this situation… the bigger it is the more it passesโ€ฆ

  4. Since I wrote comments under the videos about this World Cup, I only highlight the faults and irregularities not sanctioned by O’Keeffe, some of which would have had a decisive impact on the final score. And when a team finishes with only 1 small point in advance there are grounds for questions.
In response to my comments I have only sorts of philosophical reflections, great lyrical phrases, great pro-African flights, but never anything that addresses the only subject that I simply want to point out.
Indeed, there may be disappointment and bitterness in my remarks since my national team is a direct victim of what happened.
But I never have any answers that speak impartially about the many faults not sanctioned by the referee. The only subject I want to highlight.
Do you know that it is WR who made all the images of the retransmissions of the matches. It even has the exclusivity; it is not the television channels of the host country, no … so we will not have the images of the slowdowns, the shots on different angles, etc.
Please note that all videos posted on YouTube that showed analyses of all these faults and irregularities have been deleted at the request of WR for rights issues.
By cons all the videos celebrating the victory of the "heroes" are more and more numerous.
I refuse to participate in this ruined party. The first victims are, in order, the lovers of rugby, the fans of the stolen teams, the lovers of the sport in general, the fans of the team of the host country, which gave a lot, in all areas, infrastructure, reception, organization, etc., to be finally scorned and insulted in the face of the world.

  6. Now we know why South Africa is the only country in the world to unilaterally decide to destroy its nuclear weapons. Who needs nukes if you have the Springboks?๐Ÿ˜…

  7. DID YOU SAY โ€œSiya BLOODY Kolisiโ€ ? Insulting the greatest rugby captain in the world !! If you did, in the words of another great South African : โ€œGo F@ck Yourself ! โ€œ

  8. Your content is is ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT.. SO NERDY, yet filled with humor. I appreciate that you literally IMAGINED how to own a youtube this way. LOVE your work, I am watching this for like the 5th time cause I like the description you give to the France 10 going high on Eben E.

  9. If don’t hear from my BF for hours, guaranteed he’s on this channel. so I decided I’d see what the fuss is about, and well, this is impressive. The statistical game was lost on me till now….

  10. Just watched the highlights and then this, what an insane game. Who the hell says rugby is broken??!!

  11. Excellent analysis and understanding of this great game. We need more specialists like you in this game to understand rules better.

  12. Letโ€™s salute O Keffeโ€™s remarkable falsifier skills. Great art. In fact, in this match, it was him who achieved the best performance โ€ฆ of confusion. What a master!

  13. Hi Squidge – Love your content and insights! You really know your stuff. Please make a review video of the Chasing the Sun 2 Documentary, we would love to hear what your thoughts are about it.

    Waiting for the footage…

  15. Poetic Justice that SA knocked out France. Feel for team and fans. But France hustled the RWC. It was meant to be in SA. That NH mafia in WR is BS. So yes. Karma is a bitch

  16. The referee.. the referee.. omg.. enough now witb the referee. Is that even an excuse when there were a few referees including linesman and a few overseeing the TMO so No it was Not the Referee’s fault.
Own your teams mistakes like men and find a way to move forward!! Springboks did not win 4 world cups because they are incompetent or stupid. Rugby is like a game of chess where you outsmart your opponent. France was outsmarted. End of story!

  17. Most amazing RWC game in history ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

  18. The reasons the French lost a game they should never have lost. Paraphrasing Nigel Owens: "Etzebeth was very, very lucky." Paraphrasing some more: Cheslin Kolbe was very, very Lucky; Dutoit was very, very lucky; a ton of other Springboks were very, very lucky. I just watched the replay. Pretty astonishing how some people can be so very, very lucky. I am not French, by the way!

  19. Fourth watch.

I remember seeing that bloody-faced, tired, and smiling frame of Etzebeth and going going: โ€œYes, Eben, I understand."
    I was just as tired.

  20. Great analysis…Why can’t the pundits analyze like this? The prefer to talk about their feelings towards the game๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿฟ…its embarrassing๐Ÿคง

  21. I really enjoyed your previous analysis, but you try to speak as fast as possible. Very annoying.

  22. This analysis deals only with second-rate points. Most of what determined the winner is ignored.
The SA managed to exert this enormous pressure on the French only because the arbitrator let do what should have been prevented.
In the first place: during the match against France, 18 faults and irregularities committed by the SA, not reported by the referee, TMO, etc. If he had whistled only a quarter of these 18, France won with 10 to 15 points in advance.
France beats the English 53 to 10, in the biggest humiliation ever inflicted on Twinckenham, a few months before the WC; and France largely beats the AB in the opening match or this WC.
We will never resign ourselves to accept that the WC is made inaccessible to France (1995, 2011, 2023), not on its level of play, its skills, but on corruption and manipulations of WR.
If you want to know more about these 18 faults not sanctioned by the referee, there is a video that has not been deleted by YouTube, as it does not include video clips of the match, only screenshots; because yes, indeed, all videos showing analyses of the match, using video extracts, are deleted each time.
But this video is in French … if youโ€™re interested, maybe youโ€™ll find someone to translate it.
But I doubt it. SAs are far too busy celebrating their heroes. Tainting all this with discordant discourses would be very badly perceived in the land of bokkes.
