This year’s Oilers is one of the laziest teams I’ve ever seen in the finals. Playing with their stick instead of their feet, bad gaps, no intensity on the puck, and then Skinner’s "why is the puck hitting me?" moment was the cherry on top.
As a Bruins fan I despise this team but also got behind them because of Marchand. But as a raw hockey fan since I was a kid. Florida plays a style of hockey in today’s game that no other team can play. They play every facet of the game at the highest level and they outwork you, get in your head, get physical and they’ll up their physicality. They’re fast, play together, know where to be on the ice at all times.
Marchand coming in and his style of hockey was a perfect match also. Guys plays the way the entire Florida team plays. Of the other repeat champs going for 3 in a row. This Florida team has the best shot to 3peat. I’m hard pressed to believe they let any of their key pieces walk.
Gotta feel for Leon and McDavid but the Oilers as they are will never beat Florida.
DEInell Nurse sucking up all EDM payroll by about 6 mill a year more than he’s worth but at least they can say they made a minority happy. Very woke and cool Edmonton
