Phillies haven’t been a serious contender since 2010.
2022 was a total fluke. This team is going nowhere.
Whatever magic the Phillies had during their laat 4 years of dominance is long gone. They will need to sell at the deadline and admit that they need to retool in order to continue to move forward. Or they can go forward the way their doing and either miss the playoffs or get beaten in a wildcard round and bounced. Their terrible contracts like the Aaron Nola contract prevent them from signing top hitting talent though.

Philly GM thinks he assembled the ‘most powerful offense’ in the sport. He better not show his face in public for quite a while. And the team should appreciate being on the road, they would get booed out of Citizen’s Bank Park (home) if they performed that badly there.

As a Phillies fan, this series is the perfect showing of why we will lose in the first round of the playoffs…. again. The Phillies offense constantly wastes the elite pitching performances of the best staff in baseball. And our presidents reaction to all this is “I like where we’re at”💀well we will see how trading for literally no one pans out when the dodgers run us over thanks dombrowski for your confidence

Pitching was good for both teams. With all the injuries with the Astros, I’m amazed how they are playing.
