  1. I can’t believe the goal line stand against Penn state or the block against Penn state didn’t make it

  2. The George Teague strip against Miami didn’t even count because we were offside. It’s still amazing and kept Miami from scoring.

  3. Kenyon drake heard announcer say they got to stop Henry during kick off and he said hey announcer, hold my beer. The rest is history

  4. There were three or so plays in the Van Tiffin ’85 Auburn game that were big on the last drive.
And forgotten game but ’98 LSU game when we scored twice with two mins to play to win. Took away a TD pass that became INT, and big go ahead TD with seconds left.
UT ’73…Rutledge to Wheeler opening TD pass, then Robin Cary punt return for TD late followed by Wilbur Jackson 80 yd TD run to seal it.
    So many memories….

  5. Glad to see you got "the strip" from Teague. I was 8 years old when I seen it and it’s still jaw dropping

  6. I got to know Prothro. When I was in college I worked with him when he was at Regions bank. People pestered him all damn day about that catch. He was always friendly to them and smiled and laughed, but behind the scenes it wore him down. He told me he struggled for a while about being forced out of the game due to the injury and struggled with the what if, but he finally met a nice lady and had a beautiful family so it all worked out. He also ended up doing well for himself….maybe not hall of fame money but like I told him he could also play what if he ended up broke like so many NFL players and didn’t mature into the man he became. I’ll never forget that day because he just laughed and said damn you right.

  7. I was at the last one and it was the best game Iโ€™ve ever seen Iโ€™ve been to most of the bama Georgia games tho and I have to say those r the funniest

  8. Number one will probably start number one for a long time solely because of the events leading up to it.. vanilla Vick, Jake Coker, was not gonna be denied his ring either, that was a Cinderella team if Iโ€™ve ever seen one.. hardly anyone returned, original starting qb lost a game early, and Jake canโ€™t in and never looked back! The last 5 or 6 years Iโ€™ve stepped back from the arrogant fan I was the first 10, because I knew Saban was going to eventually leave so I started enjoying it good or bad instead of being so heated about it all the time and those years were way better.

  9. Just a heads up, I am on the younger side and this is my 10 favorite plays, as in ones that are meaningful to me. I Respect and understand the greatness and impact of things like Langhamโ€™s pick six and the goal line stand against PSU, but I just donโ€™t connect with them as much since they were before my time. Thanks for watching and Roll Tide!

  10. For me it is a 3 way tie between Tyrone Prothroโ€™s The Catch, AJ to Yelden vs LSU and George Teague picking Lamarโ€™s pocket

  11. Drake’s td was outrageous. I took a bathroom break but heard my wife and oldest son going nuts. One of my favorite memories.

  12. The George Teague play, (2:20) running down the WR on Miami and stealing the ball away!!! All-Time play!

  13. The Goal line stand needs to be top 3 on any Bama list. Not the 4th down play but the 2nd down play by Don McNeal. Van Tiffins kick in 1985 is also a big one. Linnie Patricks unbelievable run against Auburn in 1981 should be on there before any play against Ga state.

  14. 1978 Alabama vs Penn St Goal Line Stand Barry Krauss knocked himself out has to be in the top 10 but I enjoyed this

  15. Can I ask how old you are? I’m 56, the Van Tiffin kick in 85 against Auburn (52 yards) the Goal line stand in 79 by Barry Krause and others, the Teague TD Interception against Miami, the Langham interception against Florida in the 1st SEC Championship game. So many. I’d think you’d be around 35 and 40. Great bunch though.

  16. I got a few oldies to add…
    1) Wilbur Jackson 80 yd run vs Tenn 1973 to seal huge win.
    2) Terry Davis 22 yd TD run to cap furious comeback late in ’72 Tenn game.
    3) Steadman Shealy TD run Aub 1979.
    4) Penn State punter kicks ball into blocking back 1982; we take over and score twice to beat eventual natl champ Penn State.
    5) Seven stops on goal line, Penn State 1981.
    6) Shula to Bell to beat GA in ’85 opener.
    7) Van Tiffin FG Aub 1985.
    8) Thomas Rayam blocked FG vs Penn State 1989.
    9) Stacey Harrison blocked FG vs Tenn ’90; then winning FG three plays later.
    10) Vince Sutton 3 yd pass to beat KY on 4th down in 1988 with 10 secs left.
    11) David Palmer punt return TD LSU 1991.
    12) 4th quarter comeback GA 1994.
    13) Sev plays in furious comeback vs LSU 1998.
    14) Alexander TD overtime Fla 1999.
    …too many to count.

  17. The stand is the number 1 or 2 all time leagues is also. Sunseri interception us also top ten

  18. That TJ Yeldon play is severely underrated. It boosted his draft stock and also solidified his place as one of the better backs at Bama when fans look back. Also, the media spent that entire year questioning if he could be the bell cow for them. That shut them right up. The entire game was spent kicking the ball as well. The game felt more like a loss till that little shit saw space and took it ๐Ÿ˜‚

  19. I think the Honorable Mention list could have held one more entry…the 1985 Iron Bowl final drive that was mostly Mike Shula to Al Bell in just over a minute from deep in Bama territory, then the incredible 52 yard kick by Van Tiffin. Just…Wow!

  20. What about Antonio Langham’s interception against Florida or the goal line stand against Penn State

  21. You included the 1992 George Teague play. I would have also included the Antonio Langham INT return from the game before this one that turned out to be the SEC Championship winning score. All of your top 10 is so good, I guess I’d put it as an honorable mention.

  22. I’m gonna fill in a few honorable mentions from long ago:
    1) Terry Davis 22 yd scamper to complete 14 point burst with 3 mins left that beat Tenn 17-10 in 1972.
    2) Wilbur Jackson 80 yd run to break game open 35-21 vs Tenn in ’73 (we scored again).
    3) Wayne Hamilton sack of QB vs #1 ranked USC on 2 point conversion to preserve 21-20 win in LA.
    4) Steadman Shealy TD to put Auburn away in 1979 25-18.
    5) Shula to Bell 17 yd TD to beat GA in ’85, 20-16.
    6) Phillip Doyle 47 yd FG to beat TENN in ’90 9-6.
    7) Proctor FG to beat GA in ’94 29-28.
    8) Zow pass to beat LSU 22-16 (down 16-7 with 3 mins left) in ’98.
    9) Alexander TD in OT to beat #3 FLA 40-39 in Gainesville ’99.
    10) Christianson FG to beat Texas Tech in ’06 Cotton Bowl 13-10.

  23. These are only plays from like the last 20 years. You’re probably a 20-year-old fan.
Phillip Doyle FG vs UT belongs in every highlight reel if it concerns Alabama. Especially since the play before we blocked their kick, Stacye Harrison, just set the field goal up.

  24. Loved the Metchie hit that dislodged the ball after a Mac Jones INT in the SEC Championship game against Florida.
