GSP was an incredible innovator who cemented some of the building blocks of MMA. He also added on some absolutely crazy techniques onto that that no one has pulled off consistently since.

  1. I don’t buy his GOAT status so much. I respect him, but he was a cheater, and it showed many times. First of all he was a juice-head, secondly there are stories of him greasing himself up to avoid grapling, sending fans to kiss BJ Pen before the fight to destabilize him, and that something was put into Nick Diaz’s IV. He also faced a lot easier competition than JJ, Silva, or DJ.

  2. I’d GSP was a Street Fighter character he’d be absolutely terrifying. Characters with overhead/low mix-ups are already incredibly strong. Add a grab to that and it’s just super dumb.

What impressed me most about GSP was his character. No "alpha male" bravado, bragging or putting down his opponent. Every fight was like a day at the office.

  3. Don’t you guys realize his shoulders were twice the size of most other fighters that’s why his takedowns and jabs we’re so effective

  4. Please breakdown Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield’s gamelan for Tyson. You’d be perfect guy because you offer an unbiased insight and you’d a great job explaining the circumstances surrounding that fight.

  5. GSP fights like a fencer, simple moves but done very well without telegraph such that each attack is dangerous but can be feinted in various ways to create unpredictability.

  6. Dana white could of made so much more with GSP, but has this outdated mindset of having white american champions. Gsp was a frenchmen dominating this sport, and it was obviously not what they wanted for a champ. Sadly UFC pushes and markets guys like mc gregor with average talent over colored men.

  7. 2:32 my man really put a picture of Robert Downey JR black face in the corner. I had to slow it down to figure out what the hell was flashing up there.

  8. GSP is truly one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.

A well rounded skill set and a high fight IQ.

A lot of fighters could learn a lot from his well rounded approach to the sport of MMA.

  9. I AM ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN NOW THAT YOUTUBE IS LISTENING IN ON MY CONVERSATIONS, EVEN OFFLINE!!! I was just tellin my co-worker EVERYTHING that is said in this video last week!!! I haven’t heard anything about GSP for years, and now all of a sudden? Not coicidence! I did have my phone in my pocket while I talked to my co-worker. Creepy!!!

  10. GSP was an athletic freak 😁 I know people don’t want to believe it makes a difference but it……does 😏

  11. Love to see a breakdown of the Fury Ngannou fight.

It was shocking to watch. I never thought I would see Fury look so troubled.

Looked like Fury’s normal tactic of using his size and wrestling to wear out opponents totally backfired with Ngannou more than holding his own in the clinch.

Ngannou also seemed strangely immune to Furry’s feints. We normally boxers get thrown off Ngannou didn’t bite at all. Couple that was Ngannou’s chin he seemed to be able to eat Fury’s punches and then counter with harder punches of his own.

I’d love to see more of Ngannou in this he boxing ring.

  12. I’m really trying to get a style like GSP, he was really good at everything even though he never put the focus on any individual skill in his fighting style.
