they using Mirroring, (in and out) , a Very Traditional KARATE concept, I saw it the very time I saw Ciao , the reason why they are some of my favorite fighters, Cory is correct about creating power on the lead side, you try and rotate in a lead hand straight punch (different than a Jab)
ther’s always upsides and downsides to every technique
and it all depends and the person that does it (if you are elite you can break the "rules" and makes it work) and against who ofc
but if you are not 50/50 weight distribution makes it eazer to lowkick you
This guy could not comprehend how to block leg kicks in a philly shell. I literally do not trust one thing you saw after that, it’s not low IQ, it’s no IQ. Keep switching stances since that’s basically the only thing you have going for you.
I think it’s because Brazilian striking style is very based in Muay Thai that’s been modified obviously for mma to defend takedowns and stuff. Back in the old days guys like Shogun fought in a traditional Thai stance and they’d just rely on their BJJ but now a lot of them stand more like Anderson Silva.
whats up with calf kick?
Downsides are lowered active reach and takedown defense
I like this 🤘🤘
Bladed stance. Light on front leg. Side is primed
Run them one’s!

Cory will be guaranteed to be the greatest coach of all time
Wish I could train at Cory’s gym. He is so eloquent.
Your fight IQ is awesome. UFC should have you commentating when you retire.
Good shit, I’m going to start training from this stance now
Does it takeaway the back leg kicks ?
It can get low kicked
Their HeadCoach, Sucupira, is a former Karateka.
Not coincidence that all figthing nerds have such stance
Weight on the backfoot
This is just a proper fighting stance?
Just made that adjustment 🔥
Cory we know you dont watch fights, you said it yourself. Please stop acting like you know how they fight. 😂
The down side is you cant really pull your head back from shots since you are already back

What’s the drawbacks to this stance? I mean he defended the tkdwn excellently too?!?
This channel is so sick thank you Corey
They stole my whole flow
Still playing with his beakers and test tubes this guy. But won’t land anything significant in a fight anymore
Brad Sandhagen
The real fighting nerd
Very true
Cory called them the Fight Nerds instead of the Fighting Nerds so people like me would comment to help his engagement.
Silly Cory!😂😂😂
I can see Sandhagen becoming a big name coach in 10 years or so
Love it. Sandman rules🤟😙🤌
