No one talks about Conor’s inability to adapt in this fight. We saw that Conor used to have a very high fight IQ – (example: mid fight against siver he switched his jumping roundhouse to a switch knee bc Siver was ducking under the kicks)
He was never able to adjust to Porier’s gameplan. Porier was countering off the left hand with the calf kick and the check hook and Conor just kept throwing the left hand and stalking forward into the calf kick.

I don’t see Conor improving enough to win the trilogy for some reason.

Absolutely agree with whoever said that a good check hook is gonna be the "next calf kick". Great at punishing sloppy kicks and lazy jabs, which are incredibly common in MMA.

I think Mcgregor will have an answer for the outside calf kicks but I don’t see him backing down on loading up for the counter. It’s too important to him for a path to victory. I just can’t see a way for him to beat DP

This wasn’t just him breaking down the fight. This was him being one sided. I like Poirier a lot, but he was losing that fight until the leg kicks took their toll. Good job by him doing what he had to in order to win. But don’t make it sound like he was winning the fight the whole time.
