  1. 8 Heats is way too many for the 1st Round, should be 5 or 6 Max! Akani Simbine ran 6.57 5wks ago in his 1st ever indoor 60m & ran the same time again in his Heat, be good to see him get it down to the low 6.5s/high 6.4s. Coby Hilton literally had the worst reaction time (0.181) of all the qualifiers. Can see why 2nd fastest qualifier Lachlan Kennedy 6.52 is lead-off on AUS M4x1 that recently ran 37.87 (#20 All-Time) w/o Gout Gout & ran 10.03 (+1.1) had the 4th best reaction time of 0.130 compared to the 0.111 best by Jeremiah Azu 6.53 as Puerto Rican Eloy Benitez ran an unexpected 6.49 NR despite one of the worst reaction times of 0.174!

The upcoming Semi 2 between Kennedy & Baker should be good as should Semi 3 between Simbine & Benitiez. M400m Semi 1 between Bailey, CMW & Molnar should also be really good.

  2. As a track fan who has been living in Korea and China for years, it’s nice to not be setting my alarm for 3 a.m. to watch track. Aussies and Kiwis feel the same way. Thanks for staying up late.

  3. Like back in the day, I hear Tyson Gay, and Donovan Baily speak about some of the injuries they had and still ran. I wouldn’t, but athletes were brave back in the day…
