to be honest, Michael B. Jordan did say in an interview that he took a few hard hitting punches to the face during that movie/scene
As for Rocky. Yes its one of the most if not THE popular boxing movie. My father said something interesting on the point of "fake". The moment a cut, bleeding, visible head damage occurs, the fight is stopped. Because that is almost immediately heading into concussion situation. No one can survive real strikes to the head with visible bleeding.
Rocky was mad in 1970 and it stil the best boxing movie

All his comments are disqualified and opinion doesn’t matter or count since somebody did pop up like that in real life. He should quit his job and make a video apologizing for not understanding and pretending to know more than he does.
Raging Bull was intentional heightened and stylised so I don’t mind it not being a hyper realistic portrayal of boxing because the film is incredible.
The best example I’ve seen of hyper realistic boxing in a film is Daniel Day Lewis in The Boxer.
