I think Islam is the kind of fighter that wouldn’t be able to deal very well with getting damaged early or at all during the fight as he’s used to being very safe and dominant mostly in his fights. We saw glimpses of this when he was fighting Dustin (who was way less prepared than Islam training camp wise). So if Renato gets lucky in the early going by landing some good, nasty shots, he might have a chance of overwhelming Islam when he doesn’t expect it.
Tsarukyan hurt his vagina, his rich daddy told him he cant go embarrass the family with a guaranteed loss, so he made up an excuse and pulled out, then bought some tampons. I dont believe it for a second that Tsarukyan hurt his back. How do you hurt your back during the weight cut??? More likely he is on his period. Moicano had said he would be the backup, there are articles from him talking about it when the fight card was announced. There is an article from a month or so ago that Renato said he hopes someone pulls out with a leg injury so he can step in, which was a weirdly specific statement to make but that is why he made 155 instead of 156. Thats why there wasn’t a dedicated backup.
